Private detective Sam Spade, along with his partner Miles Archer and secretary, is unaware that everything will change when Brigid O'Shaughnessy, a customer, enters their office chasing ordinary and familiar tasks. When Brigid hires the two detectives to find her troublesome lover who ran away with her sister, Archer immediately sets out to find the man. However, as a result of his partner being mysteriously killed during this journey, it is revealed that Brigid has actually been lying. The point to which all these lies lead is to reach a priceless statue called the Maltese Falcon. Sam realizes that he is in much bigger trouble than he thought and now his only concern is to save himself.
