Çok az yara ile bu durumdan kurtulmayı başaran Bruce çok yüksek derecede radyasyona maruz kalmıştır. Bunun sonucunda ise ne zaman bir şeylere sinir olsa DNA yapısı çok farklı bir tepki göstererek güçlenir ve yeşil dev bir yaratığa dönüşür. Bruce bu durumda yapması gerekenin bu yeşil yaratığa alışmak ve onu eğitmek olduğunu zamanla anlamaya başlar...
